About the function
As a logistics employee, you and your colleagues ensure that all old paper is sorted and processed correctly. Three types of paper are sorted: large cardboard, small cardboard, and other paper. This sorting is done using a large sorting machine filled with a shovel. Once everything is sorted, the large and small cardboard are pressed into paper bales the size of approximately a cubic meter. These bales are then loaded onto trucks and sent to the next company for further processing. The remaining paper is loaded into a large truck using a crane. This paper is then used to make newspapers and magazines.
Since an average of 400 tons of old paper comes in daily, a lot of work is done using a shovel and various forklifts. However, your work will not only consist of forklift tasks, as you will also wrap the pressed paper bales with wire to keep them together or cut the wire to further process the paper. In addition, the old paper also brings a lot of dust. Cleaning the two large halls, along with your colleagues, is also part of the daily tasks.
The work is done in two shifts. The working hours are from 06:00 to 15:00 and from 15:00 to 23:00. Production stops at 22:00, and the last hour is spent cleaning the production area.
